What is Benchmarking?

It is a process where participants of the same industry get together to compare kpi's and performance from within a peer group. The information gathered by comparing results benefits all participants both in discovering areas for improvement strategies but also in comparing your own current performance against your past performance. We are after all - our own best motivator.

It is a very powerful tool in finding, adapting and implementing outstanding practices in order to achieve superior performance and support continual improvement. Best practices for benchmarking is to implement a continuous process in which you can continually seek to improve practices and comparatively track performance improvement.
